Natural DIY Bath Salts for Relaxing Evenings 🌿🛁

DIY bath salts with essential oils are a simple and natural way to bring small moments of wellness into everyday life. With high-quality essential oils, each bath salt can be individually customized – whether for soothing, refreshing, or pleasantly warming effects. At the same time, you know exactly what’s in it: pure salts, natural fragrances, and no artificial additives.

Homemade bath salts are also wonderful as a personal gift – for birthdays, Christmas, as a small token of appreciation, or a heartfelt thank you. They look high-quality, individual, and show that you took the time to create something special. With just a few ingredients, you can create a small wellness gift that smells good, looks beautiful, and provides true relaxation.

Ingredients (for approx. 1 jar / 250–300 g)

  • 200 g coarse sea salt or Himalayan salt
  • 50 g Epsom salt – relaxes muscles
  • 1–2 tbsp dried flowers
(lavender, rose, or marigold – optional)
  • 10–15 drops of essential oil
    – depending on your mood:
    • Relaxation: Lavender, stone pine, orange
    • Clear breathing & clarity: Eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary
    • Cozy Winter: Cedarwood, cardamom, orange
  • 1 tsp carrier oil (almond, jojoba, or coconut oil) for skin care
  • Clean screw-top jar

🧂 Instructions

1. Mix the salts

Mix sea salt and Epsom salt in a bowl.
Epsom salt helps relax muscles – perfect for stressful moments.

2. Add essential oils

Add 10–15 drops of your desired oil blend to the salt.
Stir well to ensure the scent is evenly distributed.

3. Add nourishing oil

Stir in 1 tsp of almond or jojoba oil – it leaves your skin soft after bathing.
(For winter scents, a little coconut oil works great too!)

4. Incorporate flowers (optional)

For a beautiful look, gently fold in some lavender, rose petals, or marigold.
It looks lovely and makes the bathing experience even more special.

5. Jarring

Fill everything into the clean jar and seal tightly.
Label, decorate – ready to give as a gift or enjoy yourself. 🤍
