Essential oils are volatile plant extracts obtained from blossoms, leaves, barks, roots or fruit peel. They hold the scent of the plant in highly concentrated form. When you buy 100 % pure essential oils from us, you get an unadulterated natural product – free of synthetic fragrances and extenders.

Usually by steam distillation, where hot vapour releases the oil molecules from the plant tissue. For citrus fruits such as lemon or orange we use cold pressing to preserve the zesty freshness of the peel. We rely on gentle methods so the delicate aroma compounds survive.

Real quality can be read on the label. It should carry the botanical name in Latin, the country of origin, the extraction method, a batch number and the note “100 % pure essential oil”. Lower-grade products often hide behind terms like “perfume oil” or “nature-identical”. That transparency is exactly what we insist on for all our oils.

The options are varied. The most common are:

• In a diffuser or as room fragrance: 4 to 6 drops in 150–200 ml of water for an average room.
• As a sauna infusion: 5 to 10 drops per litre of water, never neat on the stones.
• In DIY projects: in homemade soap, bath salts or natural cosmetics.
• On skin: only diluted in a carrier oil such as almond or jojoba, typically at 1 to 3 percent.

Yes. What matters is the balance of top, heart and base notes: light citrus is there immediately, herbal and floral parts follow, woody base notes carry for hours. Ready-made compositions are under Essential Oil Blends.

Cool, dark and tightly closed. UV light and oxygen cause oxidation, which changes both scent and colour. Use citrus oils within a year; woody and resinous oils keep considerably longer.

We select our producers against fixed criteria and ask for their analyses. Filling is done by hand in Germany, in small batches. Every label carries the botanical name, country of origin, extraction method and batch number – so you can trace what's in the bottle.
