Wood & Resin Oils

Dry, deep, with a long trail. Wood and resin oils are the base notes among essential oils: they evaporate the slowest and carry for hours without becoming insistent. That makes them particularly good for evenings and as a grounding counterpart to citrus or herbal notes.

Characteristic: this is the longest-keeping family in the range. Where citrus oils should be used within a year, wood and resin oils keep considerably longer stored cool and dark – some even gain depth over time.

Four different cedarwoods sit side by side here: Atlas is warm and soft, Virginia clear and dry, Texas smoky, Himalaya the mildest of them.
