Our Himalayan cedarwood essential oil (Cedrus deodara) is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of trees from the high altitudes of the Himalayas. Its aroma is warm, balsamic and sweet, carrying a fine woody depth. The “deodar” – Sanskrit for “tree of the gods” – is traditionally regarded as a symbol of strength and long life.
