Three autumn blends for the diffuser

As the evenings turn cooler and the heating kicks in, what smells good in a room changes too. The light, zesty scents of summer give way to deeper, warmer notes – conifer wood, resin, warming spices. Three diffuser blends that capture exactly that mood. All amounts are for an average room on 150–200 ml of water.

1. Forest Walk

Clear and resinous, like a coniferous forest after rain, with a warm citrus shimmer on top.

2. Golden Autumn

Warmer and rounder: sweet orange meets the spice of ginger and a hint of star anise. The scent of a sunny October afternoon.

3. Fireside Evening

Deep, woody and calm – for an evening on the sofa while the wind blows outside. Cedar as the base, juniper for earthy freshness, a touch of clove for warmth.

A few tips to finish

Less is more: pure essential oils go a long way, so start with a few drops and add more if needed. Air the room before you switch on the diffuser – a room scent is no substitute for fresh oxygen. And run the device in intervals, roughly 15 minutes on and 30 off: the nose quickly gets used to a constant scent, and with pauses it stays more present.

You'll find all the oils used here in our Autumn Scents collection.
